Peshawar Youth defeated Jungle Khail in penalty shoot-out final by 4-3 and won the trophy of 2nd Tabdeele Football Cup played here at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium. The Peshawar based Consul General of Iran Baqir Beigi, Mrs Baghar Beigi, KP Minister for Forest and Wildlife Ishtiaq Urmar, KP Minister for Education Zia Ullah Bangash, international footballers and hundreds and large number of spectators witnessed the match.

The match was started on fast tempo and both Peshawar Youth and Jungle Khail Kohat. Peshawar Youth a team comprising of players from three academies working under the aegis of Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Hayatabad, Qayyum Sports Complex and Tehmas Khan Football Stadium played very impressive game right from the very outset of the match.

Jungle Khail, with 13 international players with 11 from the current national team while Peshawar Youth have four such players including goal-keeper of the national team Ihsan Ullah. In the 23rd minute Peshawar Youth took lead through right winger Hani font he field attempt. It was a nice one to one exchange of ball between Hanif and Sher Hussain just in front of the goal-post.

This was Hanif who at the end succeeded in defeating for Pakistan team skipper goal-keeper Jaffar Khan and made the tally 1-0. Kabeer, Amir Sadiq, Salam, Sher Hussain, Waseem, Tariq and Yousaf also played well for Peshawar Youth. Peshawar Youth maintained its lead till the end of the first session.

In the second half Jungle Khail kept up pressure and made some good attacking moves but the goal-keeper of Peshawar Youth Ihsan foiled the attacks twice. However, in 55th minute Rasool Khan, hailing from Chitral, netted a fine goal on the pass of Alamgir and the level score at 1-1.

To decide the fate of the final both were awarded five each penalty kicks on which Peshawar Youth missed two and scored three goals while Jangal Khail scored only two goals and three saved by Ihsan Ullah of Peshawar Youth goal-keeper. Thus Peshawar Youth won the match by 4-3. Anwar Khan, Zeeshan, Zakir supervised the match while Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah acted as match commissioner.

During the final match the players, officials, guests and spectators wore black band to Kashmiri people living in miserable circumstances under Indian occupation. One-minute silence was observed to pay homage to the martyrs of the freedom struggle of the Indian-Occupied-Kashmir (IOK). At the end, the chief guest gave away trophies to the winners and cash prizes. The winner was awarded Rs 200,000/- and the runners-up got Rs 150,000/- besides other prizes.
